Some StudioPress themes do not have a full width layout. Luckily, there’s a plugin that can help.
Monochrome Pro theme works well with the Genesis Blocks layouts, but some themes need tweaking to make the full width layouts look their best.
Is your layout to narrow?
After adding a Genesis Blocks page layout to your theme, view the page to see how it looks. If the page is much too narrow, install a plugin called…
Fullwidth Templates for Any Theme & Page Builder
This is a free plugin and it works with most themes.
Fullwidth Templates for Any Theme & Page Builder
After installing the plugin, you need to edit the web page…
Select the Page tab in the post editor sidebar
- Expand the Page Attributes tab
- Select, Template: FW Fullwidth
- Then click the Genesis icon in the top right of the post editor
- Hide the Breadcrumbs
- Hide the post Title
- Then in the Layout tab select: Full Width Content

This will make the Genesis Blocks Layouts span the full page width in most themes. However, some themes position the navigation bar on top of the hero header block. The hero header is the top block on the page.
You might need a spacer
If the headline at the top of the page template is too close to the navigation bar, add a spacer above the headline or add top padding to the headline block.

Test using different devices
After adding a spacer block or adding padding above the headline, check to see how the page looks in different web browsers and on mobile devices.
