Revolution Pro is a simple theme with beautiful typography. The headline “We build experience” is wrapped in a Genesis Blocks container block and the columns of text and images are built from WordPress (Gutenberg) columns blocks. There are several Additional CSS classes applied to different sections of the homepage, so I recommend you use the automatic install wizard to do the initial set up.

The homepage headline
This uses a negative margin to move the headline’s container block up and overlap the top image. The CSS classes used are: boxshadow wide-featured rev-overlap.

Image grid & Book cover.
The image grid and the two column block with the book cover also have Advanced CSS classes.
Most of the front page is built from Gutenberg blocks not Genesis Blocks.
The three columns of text at the bottom of the page also have an Advanced CSS class.
Split Navigation.
Revolution Pro theme has left and right menus in the header area. If you put a navigation bar in both the left menu, and right menu, the site title or image logo will sit between these two navigation bars.

Widget Areas
- Primary Sidebar.
- Footer One.
- Footer Two.
- After Entry.
eNews Extended.
The demo site places a text widget in the left footer and an eNews Extended widget in the right footer. This builds a horizontal sign-up box with text on the left and the sign-up box on the right.

Link CSS.
The links have a fancy hover effect. Changing the link and accent color changes navigation bar link color and button color, but not in page link colors.
No Dedicated Customiser Tab.
Revolution Pro does NOT have it’s own tab in the customiser.
Advanced CSS.
Some blocks on the homepage of Revolution Pro have CSS classes applied. Here are some examples….
Main headline container: boxshadow wide-featured rev-overlap
Book cover columns block: has-2-columns
Skyscraper image grid: has-3-columns image-grid
Design Content Strategy: has-3-columns
Great Typography.
The real beauty of Revolution Pro is in it’s typography. Other than the CSS classes, which are automatically applied via the setup wizard, this is a simple theme to use. If you choose your images well you can quickly build a professional website that looks great.
Revolution Pro is one of my favorite StudioPress themes.
