Authority pro is perfect for anyone who wants to build their authority online. If your work revolves around your skill or knowledge, this is an excellent way to show the world that you’re a serious contender.

Important points to know about Authority Pro.
- Most of the homepage is built from Gutenberg blocks, not Genesis Blocks.
- There are several Advanced Class CSS classes applied to style the headlines and paragraphs on the home page.
- There is a menu location of social menu. This menu automatically displays vertically in the top left on large screens. On smaller screens the social menu displays below the header menu when the hamburger is clicked.
- The site owner’s image, that displays top right on the homepage, has several CSS classes applied to it. The classes display the image caption vertically to the right of the image, add an image border and add the light grey background behind the image.
I recommend you use the automatic setup wizard
Once you know what CSS classes are needed to set up Authority Pro and where to apply them, setting up the homepage is relatively easy. But for new users making the initial set up, I recommend you use the automatic set up wizard. The setup wizard only takes a few minutes and will save you a lot of time figuring out how to do things for yourself.
The book cover page sections on the homepage
The book cover sections on the front page are made from media and text blocks. The two headlines in each section have CSS classes applied and the paragraph text and buttons have CSS applied to make them indent below the headlines. Once again, using the automatic setup wizard sets these up for you. All you have to do is change the text and images.

Footer Menu
This displays horizontally to the right of the footer credits, this is easily overlooked.
The homepage blog section
This is built from a collection of WordPress blocks (Gutenberg blocks) and Genesis Blocks. But it’s much easier to set up via the automatic setup wizard when you install Authority Pro theme. The blog posts are drawn in to the page and displayed using the Genesis Blocks Post and Page Grid block.

The sidebar on single posts
In Authority Pro theme, the first widget in the sidebar widget area has a white background color. This white stands out against the light grey page background. The demo site places a Genesis eNews Extended widget in this widget area. This is a signup box for Mailchimp email lists.
To add an email signup box on your site you’ll need a free Mailchimp account. However, if you don’t want an email sign up box you can place any other widget in that top sidebar widget area.
In the demo site’s sidebar there is an about Melyssa section. This is a Genesis User Profile widget.

The Footer widget area
The footer widget area has a flexible layout. Depending on how many widgets you place in the footer, the layout grid will chance.
For instance, two widgets display side by side. Three widgets display with two 50% wide and the third widget displays full width beneath them.
On the demo site the footer widget area contains a single HTML widget with a widget title, paragraph and two links. the links have classes of button and button primary.

Biographical info
Below single blog posts on the demo site you’ll see an about Melyssa section. This information is automatically drawn in if you enable the Author box on users posts. You find this setting via Dashboard > Users > Profile.
The name is drawn from the display name publicly section of your user profile. The paragraph of text is drawn from the About yourself Biographical info box. The image is the Gravatar image associated with the email address the user uses to sign in to WordPress.

Featured images
The featured images above single blog posts are 1200 x 385 pixels. However, if you upload images of a different aspect ratio, 1920 x 1080 for instance, they will be cropped to fit. And the more common image size of 1920 x 1080 will still be useful if you ever change themes.
